Un terremoto de 7,0 grados sacude el este de Japón
El sismo se registró frente a la costa de la prefectura japonesa de Fukushima. Hasta ahora no se ha activado la alerta de tsunami.
Un sismo de magnitud 7,0 grados sacudió este sábado 13 de febrero el este de Japón y se notó con fuerza en Tokio (capital), sin que las autoridades niponas activaran por el momento la alerta de tsunami.
El Servicio Geológico de Estados Unidos (USGS, por su sigla en inglés) precisó que el terremoto se registró frente a la costa de la prefectura japonesa de Fukushima, a unos 90 kilómetros al noreste de la localidad de Namie.
El terremoto ocurrió a las 23.00 hora local (14H00 GMT) a unos 54 kilómetros de la costa, informaron agencias internacionales.
De acuerdo al reporte del USGS, que monitorea la actividad sísmica en el planeta, el foco se situó a una profundidad de 54 kilómetros.
De momento no se han reportado víctimas ni daños materiales.
En redes sociales rápidamente fueron publicados videos y fotos del momento en que se efectuó el temblor. Se pudo observar una oficina en la cual se movían objetos, incluido un letrero que colgaba en el techo.
