“No tenemos oxígeno”: migrantes desesperados piden ayuda tras quedar atrapados en camión de carga en México
Mediante una llamada al 911, uno de los hombres indicó desde el interior del transporte que «nos estamos muriendo. Somos como 80 personas». El camión fue captado por cámaras de seguridad, pero cuando las autoridades llegaron al lugar, ya no estaba allí.
Durante la noche del lunes en México, el 911 recibió un desesperado llamado desde un camión en el que se movilizaban migrantes por la localidad de San Antonio, Texas, en el que expresaron que estaban en peligro mortal debido a que estaban atrapados y se estaban quedando sin oxígeno.
Según reportó Telemundo, la persona que llama indicó a la operadora que «nos estamos muriendo. Somos como 80 personas (…) No vemos nada. Estamos dentro de una pipa (camión de carga). Dios, no tenemos oxígeno». Luego, la operadora consultó si había otro teléfono dentro del transporte, a lo cual el hombre indicó que «no. El camión está parado. Se me hace que al lado de la carretera, porque se escuchan los carros».
El alguacil del condado de Bexar, Javier Salazar, expresó al medio citado que «el hombre nos estaba diciendo que él estaba en ese trailer con aproximadamente 80 personas y que se estaba acabando el aire».
La llamada fue realizada el lunes, pero fue dada a conocer este jueves por las autoridades. El camión estacionado fue captado por cámaras de seguridad al costado de la carretera 35, al sur de San Antonio. Sin embargo, cuando las autoridades llegaron al lugar, ya no estaba allí.
Personal de emergencias desarrollan una desesperada búsqueda para dar con el paradero de los migrantes y han solicitado el apoyo de la ciudadanía para encontrarlos antes de que sea tarde.
