Hombre aparece vivo 20 días después de que su familia “lo sepultara” por culpa del Covid-19
Una familia fue víctima de una terrible equivocación, pues 20 días después del sepelio el hospital les informó que su pariente seguía vivo, y que les habían entregado el cuerpo equivocado.
Un hombre de 92 años de Santa María da Feira, Portugal, fue enterrado por su familia tras ser dado por muerto en el hospital en el que era atendido por Covid-19; sin embargo, 20 días después personal de salud les notificó que todo se había tratado de un error.
De acuerdo con reportes de medios lusos, Aurelino Vieira ingresó al hospital Oliveira de Azeméis a principios de enero por un problema respiratorio y de acuerdo con la información fue en ese lapso cuando se contagió de Covid-19.
Fue así como la familia de Aurelino fue notificada de la muerte el 10 de enero, por lo que dos días después realizaron el funeral y lo enterraron. Nunca pudieron ver el cuerpo por los protocolos de salud implementados por la pandemia de Covid-19.
Sin embargo, el 30 de enero la familia recibió una llamada del hospital en la que les informaron que se había producido un error y que Aurelino seguía vivo en realidad.
“Los médicos del hospital vinieron a hablar conmigo diciendo que había un error y que mi padre estaba vivo. Pidieron que lo confirmara y se disculparon por el error”, indicó Vieira, hijo de Aurelino.
“Sé que en estos momentos los médicos tienen mucho trabajo, pero espero que este acontecimiento sirva para que haya más cuidado en el futuro”, agregó.
El hospital también se puso en contacto con la familia del cuerpo que realmente había sido enterrado, que se trataba de una mujer.
Los hospitales portugueses están desbordados por la tercera ola de covid-19, que colocó al país como líder de contagios y muertes por millón de habitantes.
