¿Adiós a la “María”? Taxistas reemplazarían taxímetro por app móvil Bätse
CTP se prepara para lanzar la plataforma de transporte.
Los días del taxímetro, en Costa Rica llamado “María” estarían contados. Los taxistas rojos reemplazarían ese dispositivo por una aplicación móvil similar a la que usan las plataformas de transporte como Uber y DiDi.
El Consejo de Transporte Público (CTP) se prepara para lanzar de manera oficial Bätse una aplicación creada con el propósito de brindar a la fuerza roja de una plataforma moderna y confiable con la que puedan realizar sus viajes, esto de acuerdo a una noticia que publicó el periódico La República este jueves.
Por eso hacen un llamado a los conductores para que descarguen la aplicación y se registren en la plataforma de Bätse que en lengua Cabécar significa de color rojo.
Una vez lanzada, el pasajero podría elegir si el taxista usa la “María” o prefiere la aplicación móvil para calcular el monto y el trayecto del viaje.
Actualmente tanto los taxistas como las cooperativas se encuentran en capacitación sobre el tema.
Edward Araya, intendente de Transporte en la Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep) indicó que la ley establece que todo concesionario del servicio de transporte remunerado de personas en la modalidad de taxi debe proveer el vehículo de un sistema de medición en perfecto estado de funcionamiento, que le permita al usuario saber con exactitud la suma por pagar según la distancia reconocida.
“Este sistema deberá ser autorizado por el Consejo y revisado periódicamente por este ente para verificar que se acaten las tarifas fijadas por la Autoridad. Las condiciones técnicas y operativas del sistema de medición, así como su ubicación, serán reguladas por el reglamento de esta ley. El incumplimiento de las disposiciones será sancionado por la Administración, según el procedimiento ordinario de la Ley General de la Administración Pública”, explicó
Más de 5000 taxistas oficiales ya trabajan con una aplicación nacional llamada OMNi, pero Aresep señaló que ese servicio no está autorizado y que la única forma permitida, por el momento, por el mismo CTP para cobrar un viaje en taxi es por medio de la “María”, por lo que si el prestatario usa ese sistema se arriesga a una multa o hasta perder la concesión.
