Una mujer en Japón ocultó el cuerpo de su madre fallecida durante diez años en un congelador porque, según ella, tenía miedo de ser expulsada del apartamento si se descubría que había muerto, informó este sábado 30 de enero la prensa local.
La Policía afirmó a la agencia AFP que Yumi Yoshino, de 48 años, está detenida como sospechosa de haber “ocultado el cuerpo de una mujer” hallada el miércoles en un congelador de un apartamento de Tokio, capital de Japón.
Hasta el viernes por la mañana se desconocía el paradero de Yoshino, hasta que los investigadores la encontraron en un hotel de la ciudad de Chiba.
La acusada dijo que escondió el cuerpo hace diez años porque “no quería mudarse” del apartamento en el que vivía con su madre, comentó la prensa local citando fuentes policiales anónimas.
El alquiler de la vivienda en un edificio de Tokio estaba a nombre de la madre, que se estima que tenía unos 60 años cuando murió, dio a conocer Kyodo News.
Yumi Yoshino se vio obligada a irse del apartamento a mediados de enero debido a retrasos en el pago del alquiler que ascendían a 1,1 millones de yuanes japoneses (6,4 millones de colones). Una persona que fue a limpiarlo hizo el descubrimiento.
La autopsia realizada al cadáver no pudo determinar el momento ni la causa de la muerte, según la prensa.
