Acusan a médico de provocar muerte de pacientes con Covid para liberar camas en hospital
Carlo Mosca, de 47 años, fue puesto bajo arresto domiciliario en tanto se realizan las indagatorias.
A un médico de Italia se le impuso arresto domiciliario por las autoridades, luego de que presuntamente le habría suministrado medicamento a dos pacientes para provocarles la muerte y así poder desocupar camas, en marzo del año pasado.
La noticia fue divulgada recientemente por medios locales, quienes detallaron que los hechos ocurrieron en la provincia de Brescia, en el Hospital de Montichiari, cuando un médico llamado Carlo Mosca, de 47 años, habría suministrado medicamento a dos pacientes para “liberar camas”, según cuenta la investigación
Una denuncia anónima permitió el inicio de las indagatorias contra Mosca, quien era jefe de la sala de emergencias del hospital, luego de que presuntamente suministró a dos pacientes succinilcolina y propofol, medicamentos que provocan un efecto anestésico y que son usados en fase previa a intubación por Covid-19, pero las autoridades encontraron que las víctimas no necesitaban de estos procedimientos.
El médico continúa en arresto domiciliario y fue suspendido de su cargo, mientras siguen las investigaciones, que indican que las muertes de los pacientes de 61 y 80 años fueron “anormales”.
Carlo Mosca está acusado de homicidio voluntario, ya que las autoridades consideraron que actuó con “plena conciencia de su conducta y con la voluntad de matar”.
Además, durante las investigaciones para recabar testimonios y pistas, algunas enfermeras calificaron al doctor Mosca de querer “matar pacientes sólo para liberar las camas”.
El médico italiano negó los señalamientos a través de su defensa legal y aseguró que son “acusaciones infundadas”, pues dijo que, lejos de querer quitarles la vida a sus pacientes, buscaba salvarlos.
