Trump pasa a la historia como el presidente menos aprobado en la historia de EUA
Durante todo su mandato, nunca pudo superar el 50% de aprobación, el peor registro en la historia.
Donald Trump pasará a la historia de Estados Unidos con un récord nada deseado: el del presidente con menos aprobación durante sus cuatro años de mandato.
A sólo unos días de haberse convertido en el único presidente que enfrentó dos veces un juicio político, la consultora Gallup publicó la última encuesta de popularidad de la era Trump: 34 por ciento de aprobación para el republicano.
Durante sus cuatro años de gobierno, Trump registró un promedio de aprobación del 41 por ciento, cuatro puntos abajo de todos sus predecesores desde 1938.
Además, Donald Trump también será el poseedor del récord del único presidente en la historia que nunca alcanzó el 50 por ciento de aprobación durante su mandato.
Según expertos, la pésima aceptación durante la última fase de la presidencia de Trump se debe a la irrupción en el Capitolio del 6 de enero pasado, además de que las muertes por Covid-19 siguen azotando a la unión americana.
El único presidente que antes de Donald Trump había tenido una aprobación menor al 50 por ciento fue Richard Nixon.
La desaprobación del republicano Trump no es cosa nueva, pues además en las elecciones de noviembre pasado, hubo una diferencia de 7 millones de votos entre Joe Biden, el ganador, y Trump.
A pesar de estos números, al interior del Partido Republicano la aprobación del aún mandatario está prácticamente intacta, pues 9 de cada 10 militantes consideran que Trump ha hecho una gran gestión.
Las encuestas también mantienen un ánimo favorable para Joe Biden durante la primera etapa de su gobierno, pues contó con el apoyo de 74 millones de estadounidenses en las urnas, cifra inmensamente superior a la del último demócrata en la Casa Blanca: Barack Obama, quien tuvo 66 millones de votos.
