“Sentí que la muerte me acariciaba”: el relato de un médico con la variante británica del COVID-19
Miguel Casañ se contagió de coronavirus junto al resto de su familia y fue ingresado a la UCI. Publicó un video en el que lanza una advertencia a la población que no respeta las medidas recomendadas por las autoridades.
“Soy médico y entiendo lo que tengo”, empieza diciendo el hombre que trabaja como anestesista en el Hospital Universitario Doctor Peset de Valencia, España. “Esto es una enfermedad del demonio y hay que luchar contra ella con todas las fuerzas”.
Asimismo, envió un mensaje para que la población no “bajara la guardia” en ningún momento y siempre tomara las medidas recomendadas por las autoridades. “Sean prudentes, guardad las distancias. No se relajen”, dijo.
Aseguró también que había contraído la cepa inglesa, que es “mucho más contagiosa” que la anterior. “Esto va ir a más si no lo paramos entre todos, si la gente no toma conciencia”, advierte.
“Yo no pensaba nunca que me iba a contagiar, he guardado las distancias, he guardado las normas, pero este bicho es muy malo”, confiesa el médico que, según explica, es diabético e hipertenso.

En conversación con Antena 3, Casañ reveló que no fue el único de su familia que se enfermó. “Nos contagiamos toda la familia por una hija mía que es enfermera”, contó.
“Fue terrible porque no daba la cara. Cinco PCR negativas, con fiebre”, agregó. “El virus vino a por nosotros, nosotros respetamos las medidas de seguridad”.
“Sentí que la muerte me acariciaba. No esperaba que se diera esta difusión, esto era para un pequeño grupo de oración, pero es cierto, sientes la muerte, pero estaba tranquilo, lo único que me importaba era que no me había podido despedir de mis hijos y decirles esas cosas que tienes en mente. Yo los animo a que esas muestras de cariño no las guarden”, añadió.
