Asesino en serie confiesa crimen por el que un inocente pasó 22 años de cárcel

Un asesino en serie que cumple cadena perpetua en Estados Unidos ha confesado recientemente ser el autor del homicidio contra una joven en Florida, crimen por el que un hombre inocente fue enviado a prisión por 22 años.
Samuel Little es el autor de los asesinatos de más de 90 mujeres entre los años 1970 y 2005. Hace unos días, el feminicida reveló que mató a Dorothy, una adolescente de 17 años que había huido de su casa en 1977.
Pero el asesino en serie no fue condenado por ese crimen, en su lugar fue declarado culpable Jerry Frank Townsend. Un hombre con retraso mental que confesó falsamente haber matado a la joven, tuvo que pasar 22 años tras las rejas antes de ser liberado en 2001.
“Es un alivio saber que el verdadero asesino está tras las rejas y ya no es un peligro para la comunidad”, sostuvo el exdetective de homicidios de Miami, Confesor González al medio New York Post.
Little también admitió haber matado a otra joven llamada Karen, cuyo cuerpo nunca fue encontrado, en la década de 1970, según Inter News Cast.
En 2019, después de que él se atribuyó al menos 93 homicidios de trabajadoras sexuales y mujeres afrodescendientes, el FBI lo calificó como el asesino en serie más prolífico de la historia de Estados Unidos.
Desde entonces, las autoridades han confirmado aproximadamente 50 de sus confesiones y consideran el resto creíble porque el homicida ha elaborado dibujos detallados de sus víctimas.
Tras más de 50 años, las autoridades de EE. UU. dicen tener suficiente evidencia para probar que él es el asesino de la adolescente Dorothy y la joven Karen. Sin embargo, Little no será acusado de los nuevos asesinatos porque ya está cumpliendo cadena perpetua en California.
